The list is officially out! SmartAsset published the list of Top Cities for Public Transportation. See which cities and their public transportation systems made the cut. 

In order to compile this list, SmartAsset, a financial analytics firm, studied data from the U.S. Census Bureau on “the use of public transportation in every U.S. city with a population of 175,000.” SmartAsset ended up comparing public transportation data for 136 different U.S. cities using 5 different metrics that focused on efficiency, availability, and overall quality of each city’s transit system.

So, without further ado, here are the top 10 cities:

2.   San Francisco, CA

3.   Boston, MA

4.   Chicago, IL

5.   New York, NY

6.   Seattle, WA

7.   Jersey City, NJ

8.   Pittsburgh, PA

9.   Philadelphia, PA

10. Oakland, CA
