Companies that offer the best incentives to their employees

The best benefits for employee wellness plans

One company lets you nap on the job. Another reimburses you for your meditation and mindfulness classes. A third has healthcare services onsite so you can see the doctor, the chiropractor, or get a massage without leaving the office.

Do those sound like benefits you want in your wellness program? If so, you need to send a resume to Asana, Intuit, or Google, respectively. Those companies provide the best incentives in wellness plans, according to a study conducted by Monster.

Wellness plans are win-win benefits for employers and employees. Companies experience financial growth and lower healthcare costs thanks to wellness plans. Plans are also good for recruiting as 61 percent of employees said they were more satisfied with their jobs that had wellness plans.

What makes a great wellness plan? Here are some of the top ones, according to Monster.

Taking care of employees

Accenture promotes a modern wellness culture that offers employees assistance programs and telehealth services. If employees are experiencing mental health issues or need to speak to a doctor any hour of the day, they’ll find the appropriate benefit available through their Accenture wellness program.

Challenges lead to better employee health

Draper, the manufacturing company, goes a step further than just buying their employees a gym membership. They’ve held 10-week challenges for weight loss and even added prizes to the competition like money and gift cards. Draper believes in healthy competition. Before the pandemic, it was offering Zumba and Weight Watchers classes onsite along with health fairs.

Wellness isn’t always fitness related

Cary, N.C.-based software company SAS offers educational programs for employees. While they aren’t in the office right now, they have subsidized onsite daycare when the office is open. Assuming it is offered when everyone returns to the office, that should benefit employees with families.
