Edenred Commuter Benefits Announces New Partnership in NYC

NYC FISA-OPA partners with Edenred Commuter Benefit Solutions

Edenred Commuter Benefits, a leading provider of pre-tax commuter benefits, announced today that it has been selected by the The City of New York’s Financial Information Services Agency and Office of Payroll Administration (FISA-OPA) to administer and manage the City’s employee commuter benefits program.

Under this 5-year contract, ECB will administer the commuter benefits program for more than 61,000 participating City of New York employees. Additionally, ECB will be staffing a walk-in customer service center in midtown Manhattan for City employees.

Products to be provided under this new agreement include the NYC Commuter Prepaid Mastercard®, Access-A-Ride, Park-n-Ride, and the Annual Transit Card. ECB will be establishing new accounts for program participants in mid-April and will be managing the transition process.  The  transition to ECB is scheduled to be completed by July 1, 2019.

The NYC Commuter Prepaid Mastercard may only be used for qualified commuter benefit purchases in accordance with IRS Tax Code 132(f). NO CASH OR ATM ACCESS. This card may not be used everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted.
